Public-sector jobs open for Tampa residents - 6 weeks in

The city and county near Tampa both posted administrative and maintenance openings this week. Hiring is slower than private jobs. Do they prefer local residents?

It took me about two months from application to offer. Apply early and keep your contact details current.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
