Public-sector jobs open for Richmond residents - any advice?

The city and county near Richmond both posted administrative and maintenance openings this week. This is my first time dealing with any of this. Applications close on a fixed date and need a full work history.

The exam was simple, mostly clerical skills. Practice material is usually on the same website.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
