Public-sector jobs open for Portland residents - any advice?

The school district in Portland is hiring support staff. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. Applications close on a fixed date and need a full work history. How long did it take to hear back?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 13 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
