Public-sector jobs open for Minneapolis residents - any advice?

The school district in Minneapolis is hiring support staff. I am in Minneapolis, in case local advice matters. Applications close on a fixed date and need a full work history. How long did it take to hear back?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
