Public-sector jobs open for Little Rock residents - any advice?

The city and county near Little Rock both posted administrative and maintenance openings this week. This is my first time dealing with any of this. Applications close on a fixed date and need a full work history. Do they prefer local residents?

It took me about two months from application to offer. Apply early and keep your contact details current.
