Public-sector jobs open for Denver residents - what worked for you?

The school district in Denver is hiring support staff. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. Hiring is slower than private jobs. Do they prefer local residents?

The exam was simple, mostly clerical skills. Practice material is usually on the same website.

It took me about two months from application to offer. Apply early and keep your contact details current.
