Public-sector jobs open for Charlotte residents (update)

The city and county near Charlotte both posted administrative and maintenance openings this week. I worked as an electrician's helper before this. Hiring is slower than private jobs. Anyone applied for one?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
