Public-sector jobs open for Atlanta residents - any advice?

The school district in Atlanta is hiring support staff. Any experience at all would help. Applications close on a fixed date and need a full work history. How long did it take to hear back?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
