Part-time jobs that fit around childcare - what worked for you?

A cleaning company is taking applications for evening crews. I am in Providence, in case local advice matters. They can give a schedule two weeks ahead. Has anyone worked these shifts?

Ask whether the schedule is posted in advance and how they handle swaps. It matters a lot with kids.

Check how they treat part-time staff for benefits. Some add them after a set number of hours.
