Part-time jobs that fit around childcare - what worked for you?

I am looking for part-time work that fits around school hours and found a few evening shifts near Milwaukee. I have been trying to stay organised about it. Some roles have a small tuition benefit. Is the schedule really fixed?

I got the job by going in around mid-morning and asking for the manager. Worth a try.
