Part-time jobs that fit around childcare - what worked for you?

A cleaning company is taking applications for evening crews. I am in Madison, in case local advice matters. Shifts are four to six hours and the pay is weekly. Is the schedule really fixed?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 2 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Ask whether the schedule is posted in advance and how they handle swaps. It matters a lot with kids.
