Part-time jobs that fit around childcare - what worked for you?

A grocery chain and a hotel near Portland are hiring part-time staff. I have been trying to stay organised about it. Some roles have a small tuition benefit. How many hours do they guarantee?

I got the job by going in around mid-morning and asking for the manager. Worth a try.

I worked evenings at a hotel. The hours were steady and the team was friendly, but weekends were busy.
