Part-time jobs that fit around childcare - what worked for you?

I am looking for part-time work that fits around school hours and found a few evening shifts near Baltimore. This is my first time dealing with any of this. Some roles have a small tuition benefit. Has anyone worked these shifts?

Check how they treat part-time staff for benefits. Some add them after a set number of hours.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
