Part-time jobs that fit around childcare - what worked for you?

A grocery chain and a hotel near Sacramento are hiring part-time staff. Thank you in advance. Some roles have a small tuition benefit. Has anyone worked these shifts?

I got the job by going in around mid-morning and asking for the manager. Worth a try.
