Part-time jobs that fit around childcare (San Diego)

A grocery chain and a hotel near San Diego are hiring part-time staff. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. Some roles have a small tuition benefit. Is the schedule really fixed?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 7 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

I worked evenings at a hotel. The hours were steady and the team was friendly, but weekends were busy.
