Part-time jobs that fit around childcare (Salt Lake City)

A grocery chain and a hotel near Salt Lake City are hiring part-time staff. There are 13 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. They can give a schedule two weeks ahead. How many hours do they guarantee?

Ask whether the schedule is posted in advance and how they handle swaps. It matters a lot with kids.
