Part-time jobs that fit around childcare (Raleigh)

A grocery chain and a hotel near Raleigh are hiring part-time staff. They can give a schedule two weeks ahead. Has anyone worked these shifts?

I got the job by going in around mid-morning and asking for the manager. Worth a try.
