Part-time jobs that fit around childcare (Kansas City)

I am looking for part-time work that fits around school hours and found a few evening shifts near Kansas City. Shifts are four to six hours and the pay is weekly. Has anyone worked these shifts?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 7 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
