Part-time jobs that fit around childcare (Fresno)

A grocery chain and a hotel near Fresno are hiring part-time staff. I am in Fresno, in case local advice matters. Some roles have a small tuition benefit. How many hours do they guarantee?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
