Part-time jobs that fit around childcare - first time posting

A grocery chain and a hotel near Portland are hiring part-time staff. I am in Portland, in case local advice matters. Shifts are four to six hours and the pay is weekly. How many hours do they guarantee?

Ask whether the schedule is posted in advance and how they handle swaps. It matters a lot with kids.
