Part-time jobs that fit around childcare (Dallas)

A grocery chain and a hotel near Dallas are hiring part-time staff. They can give a schedule two weeks ahead. Has anyone worked these shifts?

Ask whether the schedule is posted in advance and how they handle swaps. It matters a lot with kids.

I worked evenings at a hotel. The hours were steady and the team was friendly, but weekends were busy.
