Part-time jobs that fit around childcare (Chicago)

A cleaning company is taking applications for evening crews. There are 9 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. They can give a schedule two weeks ahead. Has anyone worked these shifts?

Ask whether the schedule is posted in advance and how they handle swaps. It matters a lot with kids.
