Part-time jobs that fit around childcare

A grocery chain and a hotel near Birmingham are hiring part-time staff. This is my first time dealing with any of this. Shifts are four to six hours and the pay is weekly. Has anyone worked these shifts?

I got the job by going in around mid-morning and asking for the manager. Worth a try.

Check how they treat part-time staff for benefits. Some add them after a set number of hours.
