Part-time jobs that fit around childcare

A grocery chain and a hotel near Pittsburgh are hiring part-time staff. This is my first time dealing with any of this. Some roles have a small tuition benefit. Is the schedule really fixed?

Ask whether the schedule is posted in advance and how they handle swaps. It matters a lot with kids.

I got the job by going in around mid-morning and asking for the manager. Worth a try.
