Part-time jobs that fit around childcare - 4 months and counting

I am looking for part-time work that fits around school hours and found a few evening shifts near Sacramento. Any experience at all would help. Some roles have a small tuition benefit. Has anyone worked these shifts?

Ask whether the schedule is posted in advance and how they handle swaps. It matters a lot with kids.

I got the job by going in around mid-morning and asking for the manager. Worth a try.
