Part-time jobs that fit around childcare - 3 months and counting

I am looking for part-time work that fits around school hours and found a few evening shifts near Sacramento. Some roles have a small tuition benefit. Has anyone worked these shifts?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 3 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Ask whether the schedule is posted in advance and how they handle swaps. It matters a lot with kids.
