I am looking for part-time work that fits around school hours and found a few evening shifts near Fresno. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. Shifts are four to six hours and the pay is weekly. How many hours do they guarantee?

Check how they treat part-time staff for benefits. Some add them after a set number of hours.

Ask whether the schedule is posted in advance and how they handle swaps. It matters a lot with kids.
