Part-time jobs that fit around childcare - 14 months and counting

A grocery chain and a hotel near Memphis are hiring part-time staff. There are 16 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. They can give a schedule two weeks ahead. Has anyone worked these shifts?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
