Jobs at small Wichita companies nobody posts about after 16 years as a bookkeeper

Two small Wichita employers told me they are hiring but have not posted yet. They like a brief email with a résumé. What do you write in a cold email?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 2 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Small employers often hire on recommendation. Ask neighbours, former co-workers and your library.
