Jobs at small St. Louis companies nobody posts about - 3 months and counting

Two small St. Louis employers told me they are hiring but have not posted yet. I worked as a home health aide before this. One is a print shop, one is an accounting firm and one is a clinic. Does anyone have similar leads?

A short email with two sentences about what you can do and your résumé attached worked for me. I followed up after a week.
