Jobs at small San Diego companies nobody posts about (San Diego)

Two small San Diego employers told me they are hiring but have not posted yet. There are 14 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. They prefer people who can start within a couple of weeks. Should I visit in person?

Small employers often hire on recommendation. Ask neighbours, former co-workers and your library.

Keep a list of who you contacted and when. It makes follow-ups easy.
