Jobs at small Portland companies nobody posts about - 2 weeks in

Two small Portland employers told me they are hiring but have not posted yet. One is a print shop, one is an accounting firm and one is a clinic. Should I visit in person?

Visiting in person worked for a trades job. For office jobs, email was better.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
