Jobs at small Phoenix companies nobody posts about - 3 months and counting

Two small Phoenix employers told me they are hiring but have not posted yet. I do not usually post, so bear with me. They like a brief email with a résumé. Should I visit in person?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Visiting in person worked for a trades job. For office jobs, email was better.
