Jobs at small Jacksonville companies nobody posts about after 9 years as a machine operator

Two small Jacksonville employers told me they are hiring but have not posted yet. They prefer people who can start within a couple of weeks. Does anyone have similar leads?

Keep a list of who you contacted and when. It makes follow-ups easy.

A short email with two sentences about what you can do and your résumé attached worked for me. I followed up after a week.
