Jobs at small Hartford companies nobody posts about - 11 weeks in

A friend who works at a local manufacturer says there are openings not advertised online. I am in Hartford, in case local advice matters. They prefer people who can start within a couple of weeks. Should I visit in person?

Small employers often hire on recommendation. Ask neighbours, former co-workers and your library.

Keep a list of who you contacted and when. It makes follow-ups easy.
