Jobs at small Cleveland companies nobody posts about

Two small Cleveland employers told me they are hiring but have not posted yet. It has been weighing on me all week. They prefer people who can start within a couple of weeks. Should I visit in person?

Keep a list of who you contacted and when. It makes follow-ups easy.

Visiting in person worked for a trades job. For office jobs, email was better.
