Jobs at small Atlanta companies nobody posts about - what worked for you?

Two small Atlanta employers told me they are hiring but have not posted yet. I worked as an event coordinator before this. They like a brief email with a résumé. Does anyone have similar leads?

Small employers often hire on recommendation. Ask neighbours, former co-workers and your library.
