Hiring several warehouse roles around Portland - what worked for you?

A distribution centre near Portland is holding hiring sessions this week for packers, pickers and forklift operators. I am in Portland, in case local advice matters. They said to bring ID and a work history, and some people were hired on the spot.

Ask whether the job is direct hire or through an agency. The pay and benefits were very different for me.
