Hiring several warehouse roles around Madison - what worked for you?

A distribution centre near Madison is holding hiring sessions this week for packers, pickers and forklift operators. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. The posting lists shifts, a weekly pay schedule and overtime.

Night shifts often pay a premium, but check the transport options first. The buses thin out late.

Ask whether the job is direct hire or through an agency. The pay and benefits were very different for me.
