Hiring several warehouse roles around Hartford - 2 months and counting

A distribution centre near Hartford is holding hiring sessions this week for packers, pickers and forklift operators. There are 8 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. They said to bring ID and a work history, and some people were hired on the spot. Do they hire temps first?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
