Hiring several warehouse roles around Birmingham - what worked for you?

A distribution centre near Birmingham is holding hiring sessions this week for packers, pickers and forklift operators. This is my first time dealing with any of this. The posting lists shifts, a weekly pay schedule and overtime. Has anyone worked there?

Night shifts often pay a premium, but check the transport options first. The buses thin out late.
