Hiring several warehouse roles around Baltimore - what worked for you?

A distribution centre near Baltimore is holding hiring sessions this week for packers, pickers and forklift operators. I do not usually post, so bear with me. They said to bring ID and a work history, and some people were hired on the spot. Do they hire temps first?

Ask whether the job is direct hire or through an agency. The pay and benefits were very different for me.
