Hiring several warehouse roles around Austin - 15 weeks in

A distribution centre near Austin is holding hiring sessions this week for packers, pickers and forklift operators. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. The posting lists shifts, a weekly pay schedule and overtime. Do they hire temps first?

Ask whether the job is direct hire or through an agency. The pay and benefits were very different for me.

If you have forklift experience, say so. It moved me to the top of the pile.
