Hiring now: drivers with a commercial licence near San Diego - what worked for you?

Several delivery companies in San Diego are hiring drivers with clean records. There are 4 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. Some offer paid training for a commercial licence. Are the local runs really home every night?

Check safety ratings for the company. A quick search told me a lot.

Paid commercial-licence training can come with a contract to stay for a set time. Read that part carefully.
