Hiring now: drivers with a commercial licence near Phoenix - what worked for you?

Several delivery companies in Phoenix are hiring drivers with clean records. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. A clean driving record is required. How is the pay in practice?

Local runs were steady for me, but early starts are common. Plan for a 4 a.m. alarm.
