Hiring now: drivers with a commercial licence near Phoenix - any advice?

Several delivery companies in Phoenix are hiring drivers with clean records. There are 10 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. Some offer paid training for a commercial licence. Are the local runs really home every night?
