Hiring now: drivers with a commercial licence near Chicago - first time posting

A regional carrier near Chicago is hiring drivers for local runs with home time every night. I am in Chicago, in case local advice matters. They list a sign-on bonus and weekly pay. How is the pay in practice?

Ask how many stops and hours a typical day has. The pay per hour dropped when my route was longer than advertised.

Local runs were steady for me, but early starts are common. Plan for a 4 a.m. alarm.
