Hiring now: drivers with a commercial licence near Birmingham - what worked for you?

A regional carrier near Birmingham is hiring drivers for local runs with home time every night. This is my first time dealing with any of this. They list a sign-on bonus and weekly pay. Anyone with experience there?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
