Hiring now: drivers with a commercial licence near Birmingham - what worked for you?

I saw postings for delivery drivers and dispatchers near Birmingham. They list a sign-on bonus and weekly pay. Are the local runs really home every night?

Local runs were steady for me, but early starts are common. Plan for a 4 a.m. alarm.
