Hiring now: drivers with a commercial licence near Birmingham - any advice?

A regional carrier near Birmingham is hiring drivers for local runs with home time every night. This is my first time dealing with any of this. They list a sign-on bonus and weekly pay. Are the local runs really home every night?

Check safety ratings for the company. A quick search told me a lot.
